Help Get Me to Lilith Fair - Reblog for hope.

Hello Tumblr,

So as most of you who follow me probably know by now, I’m a singer/songwriter. After losing the boy who was my best friend and bandmate to suicide nearly five years ago, I could not write or perform music for years. I was struck with such crippling depression and stage fright that my life’s passion became an imprisonment, something I desperately wanted to escape or embrace, all the while unable to do either.

Recently, I have found more love and support than I know what to do with, and my closest friends have coaxed me back into music. The response has been overwhelming and encouraging, to say the least.

And now I have the chance to do something really amazing. I have entered one of my songs in the contest for the local talent competition for Lilith Fair. Voting opens April 1st (the day before my birthday!), and I would really appreciate all the help and fans I can get.
